Everything I grew up on in the early 1980s and 1990s, everything I cherished in underground subculture has now been filtered, dumbed down, commercialized, and packaged by big business. Computer hacking. Hardcore music. Skateboarding. Our communities, once just groups of like-minded individuals looking to make a change or learn something new, now infiltrated by people who don't live it and breathe it like we do. Subcultures become popular and suddenly everyone wants a piece of the action. Maybe it happens with every generation, but I can't just easily accept it.

Kingpin Empire is a hacker-inspired apparel outfit that gives back to the computer underground, technology, and health communities through charitable donations. Created and run by famed hardware hacker Joe Grand (aka Kingpin), the Empire is born from roots in anti-establishment and distrust of authority and focuses on supporting generations of free thinkers.
